Rachael has more than 35 years of experience working in independent day and boarding schools across the United States—including Lakeside School (WA), The Hotchkiss School (CT), Tabor Academy (MA) and her alma mater, Loomis Chaffee School (CT). Her wealth of experience includes day and boarding schools; coed, single-sex, and bilingual environments; and nursery to post-graduate grade levels. Her work has focused primarily on external affairs—admissions, financial aid, marketing, and advancement—and on developing school strategy. In addition to her domestic experience, she spent eight years on the founding leadership team of Keystone Academy, a K-12 Chinese and English language immersion school with more than 1500 students.
In her various school leadership roles, Rachael has worked on efforts to define mission and vision, to create enrollment and marketing strategy, to manage moments of crisis and critical communications, to develop institutional strategy, and to harness data to improve the student experience. As a consultant, she helps schools to think practically and strategically about school leadership, enrollment management, and advancement.
Her volunteer work includes serving as a founding board member for the Association of Independent School Admission Professionals (AISAP), chairing the 2025 CASE-NAIS Independent Schools Conference for advancement professionals, and serving on the boards of Nativity Preparatory School (MA), and Keystone Academy, Beijing.
Rachael is a graduate, magna cum laude, of Amherst College and earned her master’s degree from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
